Depot Museum
The old 1901 Missouri Pacific railway depot was an important link for old-timers. World and local news, gossip and local business concerns traveled by the train to the citizens of Henderson, Texas. Today The Depot Museum is your link for East Texas history, folkart and folkartis information. This Living History Museum also offers educational instruction for Folk Arts that have been perserved specific to East Texas.

Come and join us as we grow, share, and enjoy the vegetables, fruits, flowers, and herbs locally-grown in Rusk County together. The farmers' market is located next to the Henderson Activities Center parking lot on Fair Park and South High.

The purpose of this organization is to be charitable and educational, promote public interest in the general improvement of the environment to initate, plan, direct and coordinate programs for litter control and solid waste management for the community on a sustainable basis.

The Rusk County Master Gardener Program is a volunteer development program offered by the Texas Cooperative Extension office. It is designed to increase the availability of horticultural information to the community and improve the quality of life through horticultural projects.
