Recognized AgencyRecognized Law Enforcement Agency

The Henderson Police Department became a Recognized Agency through the Texas Police Chief’s Association Best Practices (TPCA) Program in 2019.

In order to become a Recognized Agency, the Henderson Police Department completed an internal review of its policies, procedures, equipment, facilities, and operations.  After submitting proof of compliance with 166 best practices standards established by the TPCA, an on-site assessment was conducted by independent assessors to review operations and facilities as well as interview staff.

The agency submits annual compliance reports to maintain its Recognized status and every four years must go through the on-site assessment in order to be Re-Recognized for an additional four years. To learn more about the process, click here.
