Henderson Police Department partners with Rusk County Sheriff's Office for the Honor Guard program. This program consists of an Honor Guard Commander and a team of approximately 12 members, with 50% from each entity.
The purpose of the Honor Guard Program is to provide an honorary tribute during specific events as scheduled throughout the calendar year or as approved by the Chief of Police or Honor Guard Commander.
Examples of such events include the 4th of July Parade, passing of law enforcement individuals, 9/11 Memorial, etc.
The Honor Guard Commander is Lieutenant Jessie Reese, Jr. with the Henderson Police Department. To learn more about the Honor Guard or request their presence, contact Lt. Reese here.
