We were informed that the children ages 3-8 cannot ride scooters/skates on the sidewalk at the park. They were told they have to go to the skate park which is completely unsafe for young children even with parents there. There is no fence to keep small children out of the road with speeding vehicles and the walls are a safety hazard. Plus if ANY teenager is there it is completely unusable for a young child.
However, we were told my kids can bring their bikes which is a far greater safety hazard for pedestrians than their scooters. My 5 five old can control his scooter but not a bike. However, it is a bike that will come next time.
so my recommendation is a flat cement slab for younger kids to ride their scooters/skates etc...

We need to have something fun for the younger people to enjoy. Skating Rink, Bowling, Movies in the park, Karaoke, something creative maybe!!!! Just a place to hang out and enjoy each others company...
