Fire Lieutenant

The City of Henderson is accepting applications for the position described below:

JOB TITLE:  Firefighter Lieutenant

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:   To ensure protection to residents and property from fire. Participation in and directing personnel in fire suppression and prevention. 

ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: Applicants from within the department must have at least three years experience employed as a Fire Fighter. Outside applicants must have a least five years Firefighting experience.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES OR LICENSE: Basic Fire Fighter Certification from Texas Commission of Fire Protection Personnel Standards and Education; ECA or Basic EMT certification from Texas Department of Health, valid State of Texas Class B Drive's license, pass exam and oral interview, initial and ongoing agility test. Must maintain certification through continuing education.

CLOSING DATE:   First review of applications will be reviewed on September 22nd.
